Release Notes
New features and Changes in Molconn-Z 4.04
-
Molconn-Z 4.04 (standalone) was compiled on several
platforms:
-
Under Irix 6.5 using the -mips3 -n32 compiler directives.
-
Under Red Hat Linux 6.2 (also runs under Caldera
Linux, and probably other "flavors").
-
Under Windows2000 (also runs under 95, 98, ME and
XP).
-
Under Solaris (SunOS) 5.7.
-
This release of Molconn-Z fixes a few small bugs in 4.03:
- Several of the group type definitions were incomplete, and were thus
missing rather obvious examples of the functional group. We thank Isabelle
Vergely of Synt:em for devising and running a good test set.
- "thionyl" has been renamed to "thiocarbonyl" and "pyridazine" has been deleted
(it is the same as azo).
- There were a couple of mistakes in the text headers that were reported
by Manish Sud of Lion Biosciences. These have been corrected.
-
All of the errors and warnings from Molconn-Z are now directed to
"stderr" if you wish to take advantage of this.
-
A memory leak was discovered and corrected. The program was
"leaking" about 3-4 kb per molecule. Sorry about that! It should be OK now.
