Atom Type and Bond Type E-State Index Symbols

Molconn-Z computes E-state indices for the atoms types listed here. See Chapter 2. The symbol consists of 'S' for sum, symbols for the bonds in the group (s, d, t, a) and symbols for the elements in the group. The hydroxyl group is SsOH, the ether oxygen SssO, the keto oxygen SdO.

Bond Type Table

This table contains information about the bond types which Molconn-Z uses in computation of the bond type E-state indices. Included in this table are the following:
  1. Record No.: the record number in the output .E file
  2. Record Place: the position in the record
  3. Record Type: a designation of the atom types as inorganic or organic (the user may select either or both for output)
  4. Edge ID: the running sequence number for the bond type (which is also printed in the .L file)
  5. Group ID: the atom type ID from the atom type list in Section A of this Appendix
  6. Group Symbols: the atom group from the above list
  7. Group Symbols: the atom group from the above list
  8. Bond Symbol: the bond type symbol.
