eduSoft, LC  was started by Drs. Glen E. Kellogg and Donald J. Abraham of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry of Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) in 1993. Our mission is to provide unique and novel computer-based tools for drug design and molecular biology that are modestly priced.

Our first product was the hint!® program which was developed by Drs. Kellogg and Abraham in the course of our research investigations into designing drugs to modify the allosteric properties of hemoglobin. HINT is now used worldwide in more than 60 academic, government, and industrial research laboratories.

Since January of 1996 we have been offering, in collaboration with Lowell Hall of Hall Associates Consulting and Eastern Nazarene College (Quincy, MA), new Unix and interfaced versions of the Molconn-Z program for calculating QSAR indices.

In 1998 we added interfaced and standalone Unix versions of Arthur Doweyko's HASL program for 3D QSAR to our product listing.

We also acknowledge the support of the major molecular modeling software houses who have facilitated our development of HINT!®, Molconn-Z and HASL interfaces for their suites:

Finally, we must especially thank our users!
